recognized standard of practice while providing consistency across Canada.

A national standard

Leaders in career development across Canada have launched Career Certification, a national collaborative effort that ensures consistent standards and strengthens trust in the profession.

Legacy your Certification

If you are already certified by AB, BC, NB, NS, or ON and have maintained your certification in good standing at the time of application, you can Legacy to National Certification without having to complete a Certification process again. Legacy will start on November 21, 2024, and end November 21, 2025.

Complete the application form to Legacy to National Certification. You will need your name as it appears on your certificate, the date of issue and its expiry.

Confirm Eligibility

Career Certification will confirm your eligibility for Legacy with the relevant provincial body. Please note that this may take time as we batch requests to the relevant provincial bodies and await their responses.

Profile & Payment

Once your eligibility is confirmed, you will receive an email with a link to complete your profile and submit payment.

FAQ

What if I don’t want to Legacy?

If you do not wish to become nationally certified, you will no longer be certified as of March 31, 2025. You will no longer be able to use the CCDP® designation.

What is the deadline to Legacy?

We will be accepting applications for Legacy until November 21, 2025.

When will my National Certification expire?

Your provincial renewal/expiry date will remain the same for your National Certification.

To continue to maintain CCDP® designation, CCDP®s will need to complete Professional Development every 3 years.
